| I have spent countless hours surfing the net and have found some awesome sites that usually allow for the exchange of services, products, education, information or entertainment. I think of these sites as a channel because their subject matter is contained under one umbrella or "Channel". Channels can be a collection of videos, articles, pictures, slideshows, music or what ever the providers content is. Channels come in many different flavors and concepts. I have discovered there are NO directories that are designed just to catalogue this type of website. Many of the high quality contributors on the internet are typically hosted on Youtube MetaCafe ViMeo or TeacherTube just to name a few. Channels like these can be found all around the internet at other video websites as well. Some websites have several video's hosted on Youtube or other places and displayed at their own website. When his happens I tend too list their channel as it appears on Youtube or wherever. www.directoryofchannels.com was created with hopes of adding additional sources for these Channels to get exposure and to provide a more organized source to make it easier for internet users. |
